What should the datacenter look like in the future? This session will provide Intel’s strategic vision of the Datacenter of the future, including Intel Datacenter and server Technologies and user models such as Cloud (Private and Public).
Roger Benson is Intel’s country general manager for the Northern European Territory (NET), which includes the Nordic countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland) and the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg). In this role, he is responsible for sales and marketing engagement with all customer, government, and press audiences in the region.
NET has an aggregate market size of over 11MU PCs/year, and leads EMEA in terms of mobility, wireless, and online marketing innovation.
Since joining Intel in 1993, Roger has been based in multiple European countries, and has held a range of sales and marketing positions, primarily focused on advancing the computing platform. Job roles held at Intel have included Account Manager for Multi-National Computing OEM customers, OEM Sales Manager for the UK and Nordic countries, and Client Marketing Manager for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, & Africa). In 2004 Roger became Country Manager for Intel Benelux, and in 2006 also assumed responsibility for the Nordic countries, forming the Intel Northern European Territory.
In addition to his sales and marketing responsibilities, Roger actively contributes to the development of the Intel Belgium & Sweden sites, and is Director General of Intel Belgium.
Roger has 18 years of electronics and computing industry experience, predominantly involving Intel Architecture computing platform technologies. Prior to working for Intel, he worked in both technical and commercial roles at Lucas Aerospace Electronic Systems, based in the UK.
Roger received a BEng Honors Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Aston University, UK, in 1990. Roger also received a Master of Business Administration Degree from Aston Business School, UK, in 1992.
