This session will provide an overview of the Intel IT data centre environment and data centre strategy. It will also detail how Intel has leveraged its clean room air cooling technology in its data centres and how effective and energy efficient cooling impacts data centre design. It will provide examples of energy efficient cooling designs deployed in Intel IT data centres as well as examples of air cooled solutions in excess of 25 kW per cabinet.
Ronny Ramirez has worked in Intel Information Technology for the past 14 years. His experience includes managing factory startups, technology innovation, and software development. He was part of the team responsible for the Costa Rica site startup, including computing infrastructure installation. Ronny managed Intel’s data center in Costa Rica, achieving significant cost savings through the redesign of electrical wiring and circuit load balancing for better power efficiency. Until recently he was manager for the IT@Intel program in Latin America and currently co-manages the Europe, Middle East & Africa region.
